    1. [WIPEPIN] WI Marriage and Divorce Laws
    2. verna strickland
    3. In 1886 what age was the legal age for a girl to marry in Pepin Co. WI? If a couple married in Pepin Co. and lived in Wabasha Co. MN, would their marriage have to be annuled in Pepin Co. WI? I found the marriage of WILLIAM STRICKLAND and ADA POOLE 1886 in Stockholm, Pepin Co., later they either divorced or the marriage was annuled, they sold the property they had in Wabasha Co. 1888. Ada remarried in Stockholm under her maiden name, to William Bowers, but was still a resident of Wabasha Co. I am not sure how the legal system worked back in those days. Maybe someone on the list will be able to help me. Verna

    2. Jim or Peggy
    3. Hi, I apologize for this off topic post but this is important. My email is in some of your address books or emails. This virus picks out all of them. I am sending a message to all of the mailing lists that I am on to warn that the "Snow-white" virus is still circulating. In the from line it says "hahaha". I received it three times since Sun. night. I don't know where it is coming from. I don't have it on my computer, but someone does. I would just like to warn everyone to update your virus definitions and scan your hard drive. Hoping you are virus free, Peggy :) Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly! :)
