Dear Cuz's, Today the Great Race 2003 was shown on TV at 1:00 pm eastern time on the SPEED channel. I had been told the History Channel... It will be shown again tomorrow night [Sunday] at 10 pm eastern time on the SPEED Channel.... the Speed channel is also some times called the NASCAR TV channel because that is where they put all the nascar races like the Winston cup and Daytona. ... Our car was in it... and if you watch it about half way through it will show a navy blue hard top 1932 Plymouth, with a green oval sign on it's trunk. that is my dad's car... and the green oval is my company "The Thill Group, Inc." logo as my husband and I sponsored my dad in the race. .... It really shows a good view of what all we went though plus some pretty cars and some pretty country side... They also show this boy that is a navigator for his grandpa during the race.. and navigating is one of the hardest jobs... and he was only 9 years old... he had his birthday on the trip so he became 10 and we gave a birthday party for him.... The thing was... last year he was doing badly in math and his grades were down... his grandpa said if he would get his grades up that he would be his navigator on this 2003 Great race... Well he got his grades up and got to go to the San Marcos, TX Rally.. and was one of the top runners... we were all so excited for him... so then they went on to "Great Race 2003" with him as the navigator... again they were one of the top runners... we were all so excited for him. Just a really cute kid. You will see him in the show also. Have fun! Hugs Cuz B ttg-inc@comcast.net http://www.ttg-inc.net http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/

We had a blast, but as you could see 14 days of racing can be a bit wild, we were out working on our car four days during the race but we made it to the end. A wonderful experience. I have a 1930 Model A, an my father raced a 1932 Plymouth PB with a rumble seat. Old cars are fun! It took us a week to get to Livonia [Detroit] and a week to get home, total trip was four and a half weeks.
