    3. Becky, Sir John Wynn has in his book - at the back - some descendent charts. He records Owain Gwynedd's death as 1170. Aren't we lucky to get two dates within a year of each other???? 3. Hi Becky, This 'Wynn of Gwydyr co, Carnarvon)' description can be found, word for word, in Sir Bernard Burke's "The General Armory of Eng., Scot., Ire., & Wales" (1884). These are the arms & crest reserved for the first sons of all the generations desc. in a straightline from Owen Gwynedd. The Baronetcy is the one granted Sir John Wynne and that expired with the death of his grandson, John Wynne, who bequeathed his estate to Ssir Watkin Williams (related thru his mother, Jane Thelwell) who then adopted the surname 'Wynn'. Sir W.Wm.s Wynne lived at Wattstay, and renamed it 'Wynstay'.
