    2. DEANNA AMES
    3. Myles and All, Myles, I am looking forward to receiving the info that you are going to provide for Winn Maillist concerning John Winn & Elizabeth Minor. I felt that you and others might be interested in the following court records for Minor and Margaret Conner Winn. These records are of interest as the court records provide proof that Minor Winn "himself" left a record of which county he was residing: (1) Minor Winn lived in Orange Co. VA by 1737, (2) Culpeper Co VA by 1748 when Culpeper Co. was formed from Orange Co., (3) Prince William Co VA by 1760 and (4) Fauquier Co VA by1769. Minor Winn states in each record where he was living at the date of the court record. The court records, also, prove that the 202 acres on Potato Run started in Orange Co VA in 1737 and were in Culpeper Co VA in 1770; however, Culpeper was formed from Orange Co. by 1748 so the 202 a. were really in Culpeper by 1748. Also, the 202 a. on Potato Run is the first land deed that I have found for Minor Winn. A researcher can prove that the children of Minor Winn born between 1737-1748 were born in Orange Co VA and after 1748 until abt. 1760 were born in Culpeper Co VA. When was the last child of Minor and Margaret Conner Winn born?
