    3. Dear Cuz Mary, Ahhh ok, got it. Now what I find great about having the listing power is you can clean up your mistakes that you made the first year you started sourcing. giggles. You know the times that you put in the same census on ten people and you made them all different by a period or a comma....=) To you who do not use the sources... I would like to give testimony that putting the stuff in the "Note" doesn't put it in the reports I use... Also then you have to read down the "Notes" to see what you have... When I first started I thought Sourcing just had to be a pain in the rear..having to put something in that silly thing for EVERYONE that it applied to...well I never! [said with a big southern flip of the brim of my big bouffant shade hat =) ] BUT reality is I still kick myself for not putting the sources in..then I kick my self for all the time I put the source title in but didn't put what the book, doc, record etc.. actually said in the Citation Text.... you know how many million of times I have had to reopen the same books till I wised up??? With the title in the source and the text in the citation box I can, in a flash get what I need. With out digging in papers and with out digging into books etc. It is wonderful!!! When I say put in a source for you newbies ... that means I put either myself, if it is something I know because I knew the person, put in Aunt Bulla Bell and city and State, if it was one of my family members, and for e-mails I put in their name and e-mail address, web site pages I put in their address, etc etc ... I don't lend much credence to the website pages unless it is a state one etc...but I use it until I can get something in actual record, index or whatever form.. or for finding other facts.. and the reason I say that about web sites, is because those web sites disappear as people move on in their lives or their web site address changes as they change the files around etc etc.. it is something that is not dependable to be found again in 10 years. No matter how documented the website is. If a website has something sourced on it I source the actual source, and put in a secondary source as the website page. Just so people get credit for work they do, that I didn't do. etc etc etc.... I can go on all day but I have to get back to this rat killing of the charts...
