(Diehl) Wright, 83, died April 3, 2006 in Mercy Suburban Hospital, East Norriton. She was the wife of the late William A. Wright, who died in 1988, and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Emery H. Winn. She was a former longtime resident of Chalfont until entering Towne Manor West about four years ago. Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. and Margaret (Swartley) Diehl. Mrs. Wright was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Lansdale. During her younger years, she enjoyed cooking and sewing. In more recent years, spending time with family and reading became her interests. Surviving are a daughter, Donna J. Avancena and her husband, Dr. Edgardo P. of Norristown; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Russell W. Diehl and his wife, Joan, of Telford. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger E. Winn in December, 1994. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her service Friday, April 7 at 11 AM in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, where friends may call after 10 AM. Internment will be in Hatfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Towne Manor West, 205 E. Johnson Highway, Norristown, PA 19401.
