Hi Lisa, I have a small amount of information about Lemuel Wynn that you mentioned; his son, Clement, married my grandmother's oldest sister, Mary Elizabeth Wilkins (6/23/1848 - 6/28/1929) on March 11,1866, and they had about fourteen children. They lived in the the area around Marvyn, which was then in Russell County (now Lee County). I am not aware of any relation to any Lewis or Philips families. Lemuel Wynn was a minister; he was murdered as I understand it, as was Clement, from a story I was told last year by a descendant who lives in the same general area in which they lived - the Uhland area of Russell County. Another descendant, the granddaughter of Mary Elizabeth and Clement Wynn's oldest son, Wilkins Lemuel Wynn, still lives in Seale, Alabama, once the county seat of Russell County. The person who could most likely give you more information is Jack Wynn of Atlanta who has a great deal of information about the Southern Wynn families. He may see your query and respond. Hope this helps flesh out the story a little for you. Sincerely, Hal McIntosh
