There is a company in Columbia, TN that has recently published a book about the Winn family. An order blank can be found at www.winndata.com WINN-DANIEL AND HIS 9 SONS I have ordered a copy of the book but have not received it at this time. Price is $38.00 for non-Tennessee or non-Georgia residents. Columbia in Maury County, TN is where General Richard Winn settled and died. Another Wynne, Alfred Royal Wynne, lived in Sumner County, TN near Castalian Springs. A. R. Wynne built the largest log home in Tennessee, and it served as a stage coach stop and inn--the home is call Wynnewood and is presently owned by the state of Tennessee. Wynnewood was heavily damaged by a tornado on Feb. 5, 2008. Some of this Wynne family are buried at Cragfont, the home of General James Winchester, just about 5 miles from Wynnewood. The two families were related through marriage of children. I have purchased the Winn-Daniel book and just the portions that deal with my proveable Winn family make this a very worth-while purchase.
