My thanks to Myles Johnson for the response to my questions about Richard Wynn of Christ Ch. Parish, Middlesex Co. I'm working on the parentage of Elizabeth Winn who m. Thomas Fortson, Sr. of Caroline Co.. This Elizabeth has been reported, without documentation, as the daughter of Richard Winn and Ann Cocke. At least the Richard Winn - Ann Cocke marriage existed. However, my Elizabeth as their dau appears unlikely. And the Elizabeth born to Richard and the Elizabeth b. 1702 to Richard and Sarah probably isn't the Elizabeth who married Thomas Fortson either since she would have 39 when Thomas Jr was b. in May of 1742, a bit old for children (but not impossible). One small step for man, but unfortunately not a step forward. Any further help on this line would be appreciated. If I can solve this Winn problem, then I can move on to the Rachel Winn who married Thomas Fortson, Jr. abt 1764 in VA. Earl Ferguson Atlanta
