Dear Barbara, They spellings Wynn, Wynne, Winn, Winne, Gwynn, Gwnn.... I find them in every family all over the place with a father of Wynn, and three sons with Wynn, Winn, Wynne etc etc... so the Winne spelling doesn't help as to the northern or southern ... I have been keeping an eye out for any Campbell around the Wynn's of our branch, if I see something I will let you know. Becky, I think you filled me in on a few more ways to spell Winn than I had thought of. I have found that the Winne spelling leads me to Dutch families and all of the other ones seem to be British Isles. I will continue to read all about the Winn families on the net and hope that more clues come up that might send me in the right direction. I am working on scant information that may or may not go back to her family. I feel quite certain that I know almost everything about the Campbell family in Ohio so I am pretty sure that the middle name one of the daughter's had, Moline, could have been a family name and the son's name was William Henry, Henry was not a Campbell family name either. Of course, they may not have followed tradition in naming the children. I appreciate you looking into any Campbell connection with the Winn's. Their son died at a young age in the Civil war and I do not believe he had any children. Peter and Elizabeth probably would be the only possible link. Thanks, Barbara Sidler The Thill Group Inc wrote: > Dear Barbara, > They spellings Wynn, Wynne, Winn, Winne, Gwynn, Gwnn....
