I was looking through my Woolard information and found this item in the history of his CSA unit: WYNN, EDWARD, Private Born in Isle of Wight, England, and resided in Martin County (NC) where he was by occupation a mariner or laborer prior to enlisting in Martin County on May 1, 1861. Present or accounted for until captured at Fort Hatteras on August 29, 1861. Confined at Fort Columbus, New York Harbor, and at Fort Warren, Boston Harbor, until paroled on or about January 30, 1862, and transferred for exchange. Declared exchanged on February 20, 1862. Present or accounted for until the company was disbanded on March 20, 1862. Later served in Company A, 17th Regiment N. C. Troops (2nmd Organization). The is from: Weymouth T.
