We have been discussing this for quite a few years, especially this year. There are references that he came from Wales in a few histories between 1890 and approx 1930. And we have had the most difficult time finding his real parents. There is NO PROOF whatsoever that his father was also a "Minor Winn," or that he was from the Gwydir line through Sir John Wynn, as many late pedigrees purport. His son Richard is my 5th great grandfather, proven. His daughters seem to be known.
