Hello Mary, I checked and cannot find a Henry Winn/Wynn/Wynne in the family that I am related to through marriage. Check with Jack Wynn of Atlanta - he definitely is the expert on Southern Wynns. Sorry I couln't connect or help. Sincerely, Hal
Hi I was wondering if Jack Wynn was on the list? In 1996 or so, I went to Salt Lake City and made copies of the AIS for Winn for 1820 and 1830 and mailed it to Jack. I am a descendant of Mary Winn Busbee (b 1785 SC) of Fairfield or Edgefield District, SC and she moved to Bibb & Crawford County, Georgia. I have now discovered a William Winn in the same church - Little Union Baptist Church in Crawford County. This is circa 1828 and I am trying to determine which William Winn this might be. Jack can you please check the AIS and see if you have a William Winn in 1820 in SC and 1830 in Georgia. If I kept a copy of this AIS, I can't find it . If Jack isn't on this list, can someone please pass this on to him. I did have old emails from him, but with the changeover of computers can't find those old emails. Mary Winn did have a grandchild named Minor, as well as William, Richard etc.I would love to find her family.
