I have done a lot of searching and got the same information. I believe that Ebby's maiden name was Baily. These are my reasons. Census 1840 Madison is living next door to Alfra Baily and Valley Bailey. In 1850 Madison is living in house # 588, Alfred Bailey is living in house #586 and Sarah Bailey is living in house # 590.
