Not Winn though. I have Winn connected with my Johnsons & cannot figure it out at all- too common of a name I suppose. But, in another surname family I am involved with in VA, we were able to narrow down an African American/bi-ratial relative's family. DNA is a match. He is a cousin. It took looking at early VA plantations & all the census records/locations that could narrow it all down Black vs Mulatto descriptions & other clues.
