My Great, Great Grandfather's name is John Henry Winn born in Virginia 1829, he died in Texas, 1883. I can't find any parents for him, it is like a dead end. I am African American but wonder if my ancestors were owned by slaves and who? Winn. I have traced many family members and the spelling has always been Winn and not Wynn?
