In "The Register of the Visitors of the University of Oxford ": In 1648 John Win was at All Souls College, p 474 -- Winne John, ?Bible clerk matric. At age 20 in 1646. I have no partiality towards my Ancestors class. However,(for purpose of elimination of further research) it is easier to trace a "Richard Gwynn of Clewer, in Co. Berkshire, who made his will May 17, 1638, or Richard Wynne of London who was a merchant and benefactor to the poor in the parish, (St. Alban) and died in 1688; than a Thomas Twinn\Winn who was a servant in Northumberland, Va and died about Jan. 1665/6.
