His grandson Col. Robert Wynne was the emigrant to Virginia and the Speaker of the House of Burgesses during the "Long Parliament" under Sir William Bekelely. There is quite a diference between being a woolendraper in Canterbury and holding the position of Draper to Elizabeth I in London. The Berkeley's mentioned in the line of George Wynne whose son married Mary Berkeley are distant relations to one another.
