While doing some research yesterday at the Swemm Library at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg,VA yesterday, I came across the following in the William and Mary Quarterly, series 2, Vol.7, pg 220: " Thomas Winn in 1768 with wife Elizabeth took up land in Loudoun Co.,VA upon which he had "been living for many years". They had children George, Owen, John and Mary. Of these, George whose wife was Lettice of Fairfax Co.,VA but removed to Fayette Co.,Ky about 1786. Thomas Winn and his other children, Owen, John and Mary moved to Kentucky, Thomas and wife probably going to Woodford Co., but Owen and John settled on Stoner's Creek, Fayette Co., adjoining the lands of their brother George. Owen Winn married Mary, daughter of John Cotton of Nelson Co.,Ky......." the article goes on to name the children of Owen and Mary for anyone interested and it was contributed in 1927 by a Mrs. P.H.
