It is a pleasure to communicate with persons who care enough to stay involved in Wynne/Wynn/Winn genealogy. Thanks for your response to my post, and I hope my reply will clarify my earlier remarks regarding the missing link between the Hanover County Winn families and Richard Winn of Middlesex. Group KE in the Winn DNA Project is comprised of kits of descendants of Hanover Co. VA Winn families of two men, Richard Winn (m. Phebe, widow of Pledger) and John (m. Mary Pledger). The Group KE data is currently listed on the Winn DNA Project website as KE, desc. of Richard Winn of Middlesex County. The reason for this is because the lineage info was taken off the descendant chart in the Winn/Jarvis book. If you ask around you will find that no one can independently verify and produce paper trail evidence that Richard Winn and John Winn of Hanover County were sons of Richard Winn of Middlesex County. The problem is that there are no DNA kits in the Winn DNA Project with a proven paper trail back to Richard Winn of Middlesex - those paper trails only offer proof back to Richard Winn and John Winn of Hanover County, Virginia.
