However, the two authors of the book were well educated and respected ordained ministers who had in thier possession (wish I knew where it all ended up) various family papers and family bibles upon which to draw thier family tree. This material does not appeared to have survived or it has been deposited in an institution and not catalogued. Since the line of Richard Winn and that of Minor Winn is almost certainly not of my line I stay in the background and rarely speak on these two lines as there are others closer to the solution than I. What prompted my initial response was regarding "George Winn of London, Draper 1634" of which almost all is incorrect. George Wynne never spelled his name Winn and he never lived in 1634. He was a Merchant Tailor and Draper to Elizabeth I until her death in 1603. Both he and his son Edmund bough! t Virginia Company stock and the son Edmund appears to have made many crossings to supply Jamestowne in exchange for which he recieved a "particular plantation" of 500 acres.
