    3. Dear Cuz's, I am back in the saddle, after a very long wonderful, exciting, then hard and sad trip. Seems both e-mail lists are still up an running with no problems which is grand. Took son's pickup up to MI, took a short cut through WI, picking up his sister in Milwaukee on the way [Saved 9 hours as he was on the tip of WI/MI, instead of running through MI to get there.]. Asked at the Family Dollar store if he had been there yet and she said no but he had called and would be there in 20 minutes, I ran to the bath room then went out to the truck to tell my daughter, well he made it there in less than 20 minutes, and drove in when I was standing at the truck door, he got a strange look on his face.... I walked over to his car, he got out, and said... Mom? What are you doing here? I said, "Just came to see you sweetie." [hugs here], asked him where his car keys were, he said in his pocket, I said "Give them to me"...so he did, then I handed him the pick up keys and said "There's your car keys"... he said "WHAT?" then I pointed at the pick up and said... "Will that do?"... he said WHOA!!!!! WHAT!!!!! then about 20 minutes of OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, NO WAY... etc etc... the boy totally was flipped out and just couldn't believe it... Answer to his prayers he said... we called Dad on the mobile and lots of minutes of Oh man, oh wow, can't believe it, I am speechless dad, type of conversation... to say the least I think we got him. giggles..... Then he had to call to tell grandpa [my dad that was in the great race] down in San Antonio about it.. which of course grandpa knew about it and then more of the I can't believe it conversation... so I think the plan went well, and the 18 hours or driving stick shift [which I haven't done in 15 years!!] was worth it. Sad thing happened after hanging up from celebrating on the phone with family, we received a emergency call from my daughters husband on her mobile telling us that my mother in law was being rushed to the hospital in WI, because she had fallen and broken her wrist and they thought she had a stroke... so we rushed back down the highway to Sheboygan, WI, to the hospital and I have spent Sat - Tuesday nights at the hospital staying with her. She has had a stroke and will need to go into a assisted living housing from now on because of her medical needs. They will be arranging that in the next couple of days. I flew back today... so sorry for the delay of returning but I felt I needed to be with her during this time. Hugs Cuz Becky List Admin.
