Since you've perhaps been in touch with Carol Ott in MN, who has been in touch with me, you may already know I'm a descendant of James Russell Winn's brother John Alexander Winn. I have quite a bit of family information, though not the early pictures you have on your line. I've promised Carol to try to do some more research on the period of James Russell Winn's residence in Union Co., AR, where I was raised. I'm in Little Rock, and am curious to see if I can find information about Powhatan Winn and his murder in El Dorado newspapers, at the state archives. If I do find information, I'll gladly send it to you. I do have some pictures on the line of Abner Winn's brother Elisha, which I will gladly scan and send, if you'd want. I am happy to share my information with anyone working on these families, and would appreciate anything you'd like to share on James R. Winn and his line.
