I have been researching who I initially thought was John Wynne (hearsay of an old family Bible) who married Sarah Norris. Another internet researcher found no records of such marriage, but one of a Lemuel P. Winn in Texas in 1848 who married Sarah Norris. They were the presumed parents of my Georgia Ann, born 1842 in Texas, according to all census records (1840-1900 Census records). The 1850 Walker County, TX Cenus has a L.P. Winn bn. 1788 in Georgia married To sarah with Georgia and her known siblings, Josephine and Katherine. I just found several other researchers who show that this L.P. is really Lewis Tyrus Winn. Can you help? Do you know where your Lewis T. Winn died? another mystery for me would be that my Georgia was born 6 years before the marriage to Sarah Norris. So perhaps Sarah was not his first wife (probably not, since he would have 60 years old at that time) and that my Georgia had a different mother. CAN YOU POSSIBLY HELP???? Tell me about Lewis T. WinN! Desiree

    3. FWIW: I believe the Lem P. Wynn who shows in the 1900 Johnson Co., TX census to be the son of Littleberry & Kiziah Long Wynn. Lemuel was born 15 Oct 1856 Kings Cove, TN. I have 2 database entries for Lemuel Wynne marrying Sarah Ann Norris: (1). 10 Apr 1848 Collin Co., TX and (2) 17 Apr 1848 Walker Co., TX. (source was Automated Archives) Probably the same persons.
