Hi !! When I was deeply involved in searching for my Wynn roots I dropped (copied) everything I found during visits to county courthouses. Later analyses proved a point you might want to exploit. I visited North Carolina and shortly thereafter visited several counties in Florida.. In one of those counties (ackson) I got a large surprise when I found many Wynns on the books, all but one or two were African American, born in NC. I was told later they came en masse after the civil war. You might check the 1885 Florida Census for you people. There is a printed version of that census that is readable.
