Her father is listed as Edgar Robert Winn and her mother as Delia Johnson.I heard ruth's mother died shortly after her birth,and father put her and her older sister ruby jewel,(born april 27th 1907,and married a Quin ) in an orphanage. the father was supposedly estranged from the family,who had a big farm,(possibly lumber) other brother's and sister's. edgar rober winn remarried and the new wife's name I do not know...they had Alicia virginia winn, that wife may have died and alicia went off to a girls school or orphanage too. both ruth and ruby jewel,(later changed to jeanne)went to college in texas. ruby to rice,and ruth to baylor. also a relative said she thought maybe the grandparents names were marshall winn and zodie? any links,thanks rachel
