Got a love it when the blanks go out. Sorry any help here is appreciated!!! What I got was references saying that Freeman was the son of Thomas Winn and Joyce Ferguson of Brunswick County. (I note here that Lunenburg was formed from Brunswick) What I see is folks saying that this Thomas is the son of Daniel and Sarah. So again here we go. We will work on getting a YDNA test done on one of the males. Freeman is noted with three marriages. One marriage is Freeman the elder or Freeman William married to Caty Moore in 1803. There is a second marriage to Ann Carrington 1844 but this is for Freeman J born 1817 thought to be the son of Freeman W the elder as compiled from census records. A third marriage for Freeman to Lucy Reese 1843 is noted but some have that as Llwellyn Freeman. Also were these references does anyone have them ttranscribed already???? There is an estate record of Freeman Winn in Mecklenburg Co. VA. From the General Index to Wills and Lists of Heirs, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, page 59, the estate of Freeman Winn is listed as recorded in Mecklenburg County VA Will Book 20, pages 623-624, Mecklenburg County VA Will Book 21, page 163, and Mecklenburg County VA Will Book 22, page 49.
