    2. Ann, I found no mention of your Thomas or Philadelphia Winn. There was a Thomas mentioned, but much later, circa 1830. Sorry! To all those interested in Lunenburg Co, VA marriages, please note that the County wasn't formed until 1746 from Brunswick Co. There are no marriages prior to 1746 listed in the County records. Yes, I know Ann was asking about a marriage in the correct range. 3. Dear Cuz's, Last night I was going through the six kids and where they all went to [Dr. T's kids] ... and I needed a county map for several states.... after rummaging around for ever, I found this web site.... They have the county maps that you can copy to your hard drive and then print... I thought it was fabulous. Here's the trick.... in the website's address you see where it has virginia.... well if you type in any other state name in lower case letters, like say ohio, in the address bar, then you will get Ohio's county map!!! Kewl huh..... ok to make a copy to your hard drive... take your mouse and LEFT >[that way] click your mouse and choose "SAVE Picture AS" and it will open a window, you choose where you want it on your computer, then save it and it saves it!! You can then open it and print it!! Neat huh! http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/maps/virginia_map.html Hope this helps! 3. The best I can come up with is last year at the 4th annual family reunion that a notebook ended up in my things, or someone may have sent it to me, but I can't connect it so I want it back in the owners hands..... It is a 1 inch wide green 3 hole notebook, no name on cover. In side it has dividers that are named: Fields, Hallums, Lewis, Newsam, Nichols, Pilgrim, Pritchett, Reid. In side the dividers are Pedigree Charts, and Family group sheets filled out. I can not connect this to any of the family members I have in my files and would hate for someone to loose their work. If you can identify this notebook I would be happy to send it back to you. Becky Thill ttg-inc@comcast.net http://www.ttg-inc.net http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/

    3. I am interested in the Butler county Ohio Winn Genealogy Society meeting that will be held in September. I am in California and will not be able to get to Ohio.I would appreciate hearing from any of your group of researchers that may find a family to link my Winn to. I am searching for Elizabeth Winn who was born between 1814- 1817 (about) someplace in Ohio. I have no information on her parents. She married Peter Campbell whos parents lived in Licking and Delaware County Ohio. Their children were William Henry, Adelia and Emma. They were married in Saint Joseph Co. Indiana in 1836 and migrated to Wisconsin. Emma, the daughter may have had the middle name of Maline according to family records. Elizabeth spelled her last name Winn in the marriage records. There is one spelling of Winne that may have been a mistake when a family member wrote it down. Elizabeth died in southern California about 1901. Thanks for your help. Hope to find some cousins. Comfort Inn gave us a $10.00 per day better rate. I have set aside 10 rooms at a rate of $49.95 per night. This rate is for 1 King bed or 2 Queen size beds. Smoking or non smoking. This will include a Continental Breakfast consisting of Hot Biscuits, Gravy, Waffles, Bagels, Danish Pastries, 3 Cereals (hot & cold), Hot Chocolate, Milk, Coffee, Tea and 3 Juices. Also there is a Western Sizzlin Steak House 3 miles drive up I-24. I think this is a pretty good choice. 3. As Cuz Leonard mentioned... There will be two reunions the same week... The "Wynne Genealogy Society" will be having their 5th annual Wynne Genealogy Reunion on September 23 - 28th, 2003 in Springdale, Butler County, Ohio. Our reunions are researching reunions we spend two days [Tues-Weds] hitting all the places that would have any documentation on our families. Doing this as a group makes the work fast, making copies of anything that mentions a Wynn of any spelling. Then on Thurs. we spend the whole day taking a tour of all the cemeteries in that county that have Wynn's in it, or related families in it. Fri. and Sat. we rent a meeting room at our hotel and we have a business meeting, then we spend the rest of the time sharing our research, questions, documents and books with each other. The Wynne Genealogy Society makes sure there are copiers there so everyone can make copies of everything we find and also what everyone brings that we may need. This is a great way to get a lot of information at one time. Usually we have a historical speaker there which can give life to our families helping to give us idea's and also feeling to what their lives were about. Then we top it off on Sat. night ! with a Goodbye Banquet, which is always a lot of fun.... leaving Sunday to pack up and go home. The Wynne Genealogy Society was created for the descendants of Dr. Thomas Wynne and their collateral families. All Wynne's are welcome to come to the reunions, as well as belong to the Wynne Genealogy Society as life members instead of hereditary members. All are welcome let me know if your interested and I will help you out with the details. August 22, 2003 Hi Again All You Cousins, We are getting real close to our Wynne-Wynn-Winn Reunion. If you haven't made your motel reservations try to do so by September 1st, 2003. They will hold all our rooms until then and after that it will be only if they have extra rooms. I have heard from several of you that have already made your reservations. We are looking forward to this time. Several of you are getting this notice for the first time. I hope it won't be the last time. I am in the process of trying to locate many more of our cousins that have been unknown to me as well as a lot of you. So help me locate your cousins, send me their Email address. I told you in our last mail out that I found the names of 27 of our cousins that were buried in the Beene-Raulston Cemetery in Sweetens Cove. I have made pictures of about 22 of the markers and we will plan on going there again this year and maybe find the 5 that I was unable to find. I will try to have pictures of these grave markers. Several of us cousins met at Peggy Wynne's home a few days ago to make our plans for this year. We will grill Hot Dogs and Hamburgers and have all the trimmings to go on them, along with plenty of Cold Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite. Of course we will have plenty of sweets that have been home made. Just be there to see what we will have. We will start getting there around 9 AM and if you want to get there earlier just wait on us and we will be there in a few minutes. We will plan on eating around 12 Noon. You won't have to bring anything except yourselves on Saturday. Lets try to have as many as we can for both days Saturday and Sunday. Sunday we will plan on having a lot of the local good cooks bringing food as you have always done before. I know we have to have the best cooks that can be found. I will repeat myself once more, if you have not made your reservations please do so before September 1st. I am sending the same information again about the Comfort Inn for your information. 1. Re: [WINN] Grace Race on TV [off topic]
    2. Thanks for the information about the race being televised. I don't think I told you how much my husband and I enjoyed meeting you when the race came through Rolla, Missouri. We didn't think we would get to see your Dad's car as we were on our way to a doctor appointment. Just as we had given up, here his car came and there you were in person. The vehicles participating in the race were great and some brought back great memories for us. I hope you continue enjoying that special hobby (of course genealogy has to be your first pick!!! LOL!)
