Seems that a Ida Winn/Winne married a Thomas H. Gooch b. Oct 1872 TN, d. 1900 and there are pictures made in Wilcoxson, Arkansas... There are several Gooch's named: Ford, Betty, Bud, Maggie... but also I found on ancestry that someone says Ida Winn Gooch is the daughter of James M. Winn b. 1849 who was married to a Sarah F. b. 1850..... Do you know these families?? If so please let me know, and I will put you in contact with her..and maybe you can get some of the family photo's back. He was born in England in 1852. He was given a middle name at birth but when he named a son George he took the letter "F" and always told us that it was just the letter. His son took the letter "C". I suspect that he was thinking about his mother who was Mary Fletcher and the son's mother was Ellen Cannon. Most of the Winns I have seen online were in the US a long time before my George was. Hi !! When I was deeply involved in searching for my Wynn roots I dropped (copied) everything I found during visits to county courthouses. Later analyses proved a point you might want to exploit. I visited North Carolina and shortly thereafter visited several counties in Florida.. In one of those counties (ackson) I got a large surprise when I found many Wynns on the books, all but one or two were African American, born in NC.
