Even though undocumented information can't be used to verify family facts, it can still give you wonderful hints about where to look for documentation. The popular County History books are the same - wonderful hints but still articles written by people who may have had faulty memories - but they still give some excellent hints. advise you all ready know: copy title pages and indexes of pages you are copying, plus look a few pages ahead on sections if you're copying pg 34, the start of the chapter at pg 30-33 might have additional info (made that mistake more than a few times) Plus . . paying attention to see if the pages you are copying have footnotes at the end of the chapter or abbreviations with the definitions in another place (my most frequent mistake) Have Fun!
