There are a few male descendants we've heard of recently in Tennessee that I am going to try and persuade to take the test ... the Maury County Historical Library custodian knows them. Hi Becky, (hope you can get this while on vacation ... but probably too late for that!) Richard Winn is buried right off of Hwy 50 near what is now "Sawdust." The original name for the town was "Blocker's shop" after Richard's son-in-law Elijah Blocker. Me and another cousin have located the precise unmarked spot due to a descendant of an eye-witness (and well-known by the Tennessee Historical Society). The graves do include Winn, his wife Priscilla McKinney, and one of his sons - probably Samuel. We have applied for a free headstone from the Veterans Administration for Richard's military service in the Revolution. We have full permission from the landowner to place it, who was yet another descendant of the eyewitness. They are right next to Richard's where his homeplace stood on the 5,000 acres granted to him for service and surveying. Let me know if you have any questions, or would like to perhaps "be there" when we set the headstone. (whenever that is!) BTW, the pics of his supposed grave are just those of a Revolutionary memorial that was in a city cemetery in Columbia Tennessee - nowhere near his actual burial spot. It was stolen years ago. He was my fifth great grandfather.
