The boy and his father were returning from the Dan Winfield home, Mr. Winfield driving the team and the boy walking, carrying the gun. Seeing a rabbit in the snow near him he struck at it with the stock of the gun which was discharged. The full load struck him in the stomach. He was rushed to his home, two doctors were called but his wound was of such a serious nature that he died two hours later. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Pleasant Hill church. Rev. G. A. Strouse of Billings conducted the services. Flower girls were Alta Jane Long, Perry Garrett, Genevieve Teachman, Kathryn Ensmiger and Miss Opal McKain. Pall bearers were, John Long, Jesse Miller, Claud Miller, Loyd Davis, Lawrence Teachman, and Everett Mitler. Special music was furnished b! y a male quartet, composed of Stuart Prather, Ed Prather, Cecil Barclay, and D. N. Porter. Many friends paid tribute to the school boy. Burial was made in the Plensant Hill cemetery with O. W. Long, funeral director, in charge. He is survived by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
