I cannot find where Joseph Alfred Winfield had a son named Joseph Clyde Winfield. Do you have any proof of this? I was told that Joseph Alfred Winfield's daughter Margie was born to Joseph and Maggie Meeks late in Joseph Alfred Winfield's life. Margie Winfield still comes to the reunions in El Campo every year. I found her and my father's birth records in the following website: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tx/calhoun/vitals/births/1929/calhob29.txt If you check this out, you can see that my father was born in March and she was born in November. What is interesting to see is that my father's father is listed as Joseph Clyde Winfield and Margie's is Joseph Alfred Winfield. I am assuming that Joseph Clyde Winfield's father was Joseph Alfred Winfield because Joseph Clyde Winfield named his first son Clyde Alfred Winfield possibly after himself and his father. I believe that Joseph Alfred Winfield's parents were Joseph William Winfield and Mary Elizabeth Layton. I belive that Joseph William Winfield's parents were Aryson Winfield and Mary Elizabeth Riley. Ironic that he married a woman with his mother's same name. I can't find the parents of Aryson Winfield. I hope this helps, please let me know if I have any of this wrong.
