She was born on February 25, 1917, in Ridgeland County, SC, to the late Jessee Lowther and the late Nellie Malphus Lowther. Geneva had one sister, three brothers and three grandchildren. She is survived by son Ernie Winfield, Jr. of Nashville, TN. Friends are invited to call Saturday after 2:30 p.m. and Sunday after 8 a.m. at the Portland Funeral Chapel. Graveside at Portland Memorial Gardens, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2005 with Bro Calvin Hammonttee officiating.
