I know a Thomas Winfield was convicted at Norfolk,Borough of Kings Lynn Quarter Session and gaoled for 14 years. He was deported to Van Diemans Land (now Tasmania) in Australia on 12/04/1826. There is no mention of the name Garret which obviously is a family name until it appears on his wedding certificate. I have no knowledge of where he came from, who his parents were etc. Can you help me find a connection to his family history? Reguards Bill Winfield.
