He was Convicted at Norfolk, Borough of Kings Lynn Quarter Session and Gaoled for a term of 14 years on 25/10/1825. He was transported on the vessel Chapman from London on 12/04/1826 to Van Diemen's Land. I have no information about him or his family in England, and am looking for help with my research. The name Garret does not appear anywhere except on his wedding licence in Tasmania. Garret must have been a family name somewhere. One of Thomas's grand children was named Patrick Garret Winfield.
