WINFIELD born August 1833 in New York. Possibly married Mary Jane WYANT 16 Aug 1856 at the Presbyterian Church, Westtown, Orange County, New York. Daniel was listed as "from Millsburgh" in the marriage notes. Possible children: 1] George Winfield b. abt. 1857 in New York; 2] Lafe (Lath, Leis Lafayette) Winfield b. abt. 1859 in New York; 3] Daniel Webster Winfield b. 14 November 1863 in Pennsylvania (Daniel Wesbster Winfield is my husband's 1st Great Grandfather). Was Daniel E. Winfield (E. standing for Edwin) the Private metioned as serving in Company A, 137th Infantry Regiment, Pennsylvania (Civil War)? If this (all of the above), is Daniel E. Winfield father of Daniel Webster Winfield, he would be my husband's 2nd Great Grandfather. I believe we are in the possession of a tin type portraying Daniel E. Winfield. Possible Census readings for this Daniel E. Winfield: 1850 - cannot find him 1860 - Salem Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania 1870 - cannot find him 1880 - Russell, Russell County, Kansas [believe Mary Jane Wyatt has died and Daniel E. Winfield marriaged again to a Margaret] 1900 & 1910 - Russell City, Russell Township, Russell Co., Kansas. If anyone has any information concerning the above Daniel E.
