Winfield, of Beaufort County, N.C., killed in action in Korea September 1, 1950. He was raised at Oxford Orphanage in Oxford, N.C. The orphanage calendar for 2004 will feature former residents who were veterans so I would like to honor Mr. Winfield if possible.
