Surnames: Winfield (Atkinson, Steeksma) Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/mbexec/msg/5538/2dWBAEB/179 Message Board Post: Hi, Can anybody help me trace Thomas Winfield... he was born c. 1855 in Oxford (in one census he says Sedbury in Oxford but I have had no luck so far finding this place). He moved to Yorkshire at some point before 1877 when he married Jane Atkinson in Beverley, Yorkshire, though I have had no luck in finding him on the 1871 census. On his marriage certificate he says his father is Thomas Winfield a farm labourer. Thomas and Jane had 6 children: Charles Winfield (1877) Rose Ellen Winfield (13th April 1880 - married Steeksma in 1897) Olive Ann Winfield (1882) Albert Winfield (1885) Thomas Winfield (1888) George Winfield (1891) I don't know when Thomas and Jane died or where they or burried.
