The Rev. Dennis Martin will officiate the services. Burial will be at the Nichols Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or St. Joseph Church building fund for the Parish Life Center. Mrs. Winfield was born June 27, 1922, near Nichols, the daughter of Ira Lee and Anna Edith Benninger Pike. She married Edmund Winfield Feb. 16, 1941, in Nichols. She was a 1939 graduate of Nichols High School and attended Davenport Business College. In her early years, she was employed by GPC, Muscatine. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an avid collector of angel figurines. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Linda Roe and husband, Charles, of Fulton, Mo., Susie Wieneke and husband, Jim, of West Liberty and Kathy Noble and husband, Morrie, of Atalissa; a son, Edmund Winfield Jr. and wife, Pam, of Burnsville, Minn.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Stoker and husband, Aaron, Anna Roe, Matthew Winfield, Andy White and Melissa Bunge and husband, Chris; two great-grandchildren, Grace Bunge and Megan Lee Willier; and numerous nieces and nephews. Hello Bill......I have Winfields from Nottingham (I believe) in my late husbands background.John....his partner was Mary Downey(Henry)....I have one son listed (Thomas)although I know that there were at least two more.....they were born in Australia. John died 1861 and Thomas in 1926......and yes, John was also a guest of the Crown......
