I saw a postcard for auction on eBay that someone on this list might be interested in. I have no personal interest in it so if you have questions please contact the lister. Karla http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=286446700 It is being sent to a Fred Ebel in Pendleton, OR. and it appears to be written to "Dear Papa," I can't make out on the photo who it is signed by. Description: Great real photo postcard showing a company of soldiers marching to the Tomah, Wisconsin, train depot. Writing on the back tells this company is headed for Camp Douglas in Arizona and then to Mexico for the Mexican War. All soldiers carry a rifle and a bed roll. Young boys run along side, older men are walking along with the company. A boy with a bass drum is in front. An American flag is carried ab the back of the company. Unique card depicting some forgotten United States history. Card is used with 1916 cancel. Has a bumped corner, but otherwise in near good condition.
