Hello, My name is Helen STRAIGHT, I am looking for anyone that knows anything about the Shinington, WI area, mainly the ROOTS Farm or ROOTS CEMETERY,this is taken from an old letter no date is on it " We moved to Wyville and lived on the ROOT FARM. Hillmore was born here (so this places the time line around 1925) Hank and I went to school here. We moved close to Shinington and went to the Mayflower School, Mother (CORA MAE CHRISTIAN STRAIGHT) died here. She is buried in the ROOT CEMETERY. Then the letter goes on to tell about what happened when their mother passed away, all of the kids were farmed out and not to good places. So I am asking for help in locating this cemetery and the information on her stone. I have been told that Cora and LEWIS AMOS STRAIGHT are buried side by side in the cemetery. Also I would like to include a list of names in hopes some one will recognize them and respond they are all relation I think.
