Rollie, Are any of the Counties where there is a Sherman, close to Monroe County. My Ashley Peters and Wealthy Stearns, has a marriage license stating they were of Sherman Wi. I know for a time the Stearns family lived in Sparta. So thought Sherman must not be too far. The marriage date was 1874. I know sometimes the towns become ghost towns, but figured someone must have heard of a Sherman. Thank you so much for the information. At least that gives me more counties to check out.
