    3. Hi, I live in Sparta, and also have an ancestor that was sent to the State School. I will try and get in touch with a lady named June Laxton, she was a counselor there, are recently spearheaded a large project to erect a memorial to the children who died while there. Previously, the graves were only marked by numbers. I'm hoping she may be able to point me in the right direction as to where to access these records. The State school was a home for orphaned, poor, neglected children, ect.
