And think I found him, but there are some surprises. He was not where you thought he would be, in Monroe Cty, and I can only assume they moved there shortly after this Census was taken. The only George McIntyre in Monroe Cty was 38 years old, married waith 2 children. Here is the data I found: 1880 US Census for Wisconsin. Dane County, Enumerators Distr. 96, Sheet 6. Robert McIntyre, age 8/12, born Wis. 1880 US Census for Wisconsin. Monroe Cty, Enum. Distr. 30, Sheet 3, Angelo Township, Family 33. George C McIntyre, age 38, Farmer, born New York State Mary McIntyre, age 36, Wife, born New York State Elva McIntyre, age 13, daughter, born Wis Charles McIntyre, age 9, son, born Wis. 1900 US Census Index for Wis. Dane Cty, Enum Distr. 77, sheet 5, Windsor Twp. James McIntyre, born Nov 1853, age 46, born in New York. Sara McIntyre, born July 1855, age 44, born New York Robert McIntyre, born Sep 1879, age 30 (sic 20), born Wis Michael McIntyre, born Apr 1882, age 18, Wis Irene McIntyre, born Oct 1890, age 9, Wis Joseph McIntyre, born Dec 189s, age 7, Wis. Of course, I don’t know for sure this family in Dane Co is yours, but it seemed the best option to me. I did not find Edward, though Michael was apparently born that year. A Mystery!
