There is a Trout Falls in the Fort McCoy area. My dad says it isn't anything like it used to be. In fact, I have my Aunt's copy of the Monroe County Pictorial History 1976. It has some photos of Trout Creek around 1900. According to the book, it was destroyed by artillary fire of training troops. If you don't have any access to this book, I would be willing to send you a copy.
