    1. [WIMONROE ] Schnell's in Kendall
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Schnell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EC.2ACE/616 Message Board Post: I'm trying to get some information on any of the Schnell families that lived in the Kendall area around the early 1900's and their decendants....when did they arrive there...where did they arrive from...where were they from originally...were they all closely related? This is the information I have so far. My father, Ernst Schnell, was born in Kendall 7/21/1915. He had an older brother David who was born in 1906 but I don't know where. Their father was Ernest E Schnell born 2/7/1881 somewhere in Germany, married Lena Graf at Horicon WI in 1905 and died on 7/9/1915, 12 days before my father was born. I can't seem to find him in any of the 1900 census records. Lena Schnell then married Gustave Krueger at Horicon WI five years later in 1920. When she died in Horicon in 1971, her body was sent to St. Matthew's Evangelical Lurtheran Church Cemetary in Wellington Township for burial. She is buried there with her first husband, my grandfather, Ernest and her second husband, Gustave Krueger. According to genealology records, there are 11 other Schnells in the same cemetary in 3 different family groups. It seems to be a large amount of Schnell's for such a small town, so I'm wondering how or if they were all related. These are the people I'm particularly interested in finding out about: The first group is the family of Otto H Schnell..1900 census showed he was born in July 1872, immigrated from someplace in Germany in 1883, was naturalized in PA, he lived in Wellington Township with his wife, who's name was unreadable, and had a son Carl W born December 1899. The family buried together in the cemetary is Otto H, Helena L, Irma W, Elna L, Carl W, and Edna W. The second family buried together is Arthur F Schnell, Edwin F and Amanda M. No listing of them in Monroe County in 1900 census. The third family buried together is Frank F Schnell and Anna M. No listing of them in Monroe County in 1900 census. Any information you have on any of these people would be greatly appreciated. I'm living in Florida and won't be able to get back up to Wis til spring, when I'll come over to Monroe County and try to do some research on my own with any help anyone can give me here. Thank you.
