R/S MAK http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimonroe +++ If anyone is looking at vital records in Tomah, I would greatly appreciate having the date of the following marriage: Mary Popenfus, born May 28, 1858, likely in Sieroslaf (Posen area), Poland to Joseph Ratkowski. Couple married in Tomah. The family came in about 1882. I would assume the marriage occurred between 1882 and 1900. Surce: partial letter found in late grandmother's belongings. Another Popenfus sister was said to be Elizabeth, married to a Mr. Latzkowski. Should anyone run into these names, I would appreciate the dates of the marriages. I will order the records.
