VERRIER, a young man residing at Kendall lies at his home in a precarious condition as the result of injuries sustained by jumping off passenger train No. 1, Tuesday afternoon. He had boarded the train to bid his mother good-bye and did not get off until the train had gotten a good start. He then jumped off the rear end and struck his head on a culvert, sustaining a fracture skull and other injuries. His recovery is doubtful. [ I wonder where Julia was going.
