I am guessing that as in other areas of Wisconsin, a traveling priest from another parish conducted baptisms, marriages and then would record those in his own parish registers. In the History of St. Mary's Ridge, it mentions that a priest visited St. Mary's Ridge once a month from 1858 to Jan 1866, Father SANNER being one and Father M.M. MARCO is another, until Father S.
